A portrait of my beloved sister, Jeanette.
This is a portrait series of Jeanette.
Jeanette is my sister, she is mentally ill / disabled and unfortunately blind.
She means the world to me and for the rest of my family.
She is something very special even though she is
different than other people, and thanks to her,
she has opened our eyes to life.

For several years, my mother asked me if I would
take some portraits of Jeanette, as we see her.
When I went to a creative school in 2010 in Copenhagen where, among other creative subjects, I had photography too.
One of my assignments was to make reportage photography.
I chose my sister Jeanette. A portrait series of her.
I have taken many pictures of her, and chose the top ten which is posted here.

I hope that you will see Jeanette as we do. She is full of love and I hope you can feel it through the pictures as much as when I took them.
Jeanette passed away the 20 February 2016.
I miss you every single day, and I hope that we will meet again someday.
I love you.

- Jeanette, although you can't see the pictures or see the people all around you,
I hope you anyway can feel how much I love you, how much I miss you
and how much you mean to me.
Your sister Linea.
